At the Fall Fun Run!
A large number of Region 2 members came out on Saturday to support Club VTT 2000 with their Fall Fun Run heading to Lorne Restaurant, with many also enjoying a stop at Levesque Bridge, the Charlo Dam and even Paul’s Lookout on the Jacquet River Gorge.
The run started at the Balmoral Esso Mobil parking lot with approximately 100 ATVs and Side by Sides lined up and ready for a great day (final count was 165 registrations). The weather cooperated with a beautiful fall day with temperatures nearing 12C (not bad for an October run in northeastern New Brunswick).
The group took a couple of extended rest stops on the way to Lorne Restaurant with many enjoying the Levesque Bridge rest stop and even the Charlo Dam. Most riders arrived at the restaurant by mid- afternoon and enjoyed some absolutely fabulous home cooked food (the burgers and chili were amazing) as well as some wonderful musical entertainment later in the afternoon. As we understand, the restaurant had to close the following day because there was no food left to serve, ha! We also enjoyed an onsite visit from Paul Roy of Patterson Sales & Service who provided a couple of demo rides to look at as well as some fabulous prizes. Thanks Paul.
On the way back, many riders took the opportunity to do a short diversion over to ATV Trail #10 to visit Paul’s Lookout on the Jacquet River Gorge. This is a must see attraction to anyone visiting the trails in this area.
A huge thank you to all the ATV enthusiasts, volunteers, and sponsors who helped make this edition a great success. We look forward to seeing you at our next event.
The food at Lorne Restaurant was amazing. I will definitely go back.
