The Heron’s Nest cottages offer vacationers an unforgettable panoramic view of the Chaleur Bay, the Gaspé coast and the Appalachian Mountain range. We offer the most breathtaking views in the province with some of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets you’ll ever see.

Our cottages are only a short walk from the beach and have direct access to wonderful walking, biking and ATV / snowmobiling trails.  Outdoor enthusiasts will be thrilled with the number of activities available to them and the beauty of the surrounding area.  Our twenty cottages are open year-round along with our Heron’s Nest Bistro Pub & Brewhouse. Come taste a local craft beer, cocktail or glass of wine along with some traditional pub food favorites. Enjoy open mic on Thursdays or local live music on Fridays and Saturdays.We are always happy to meet new customers.

Escape to Island Lake Club, a retreat that offers rental cottages, a restaurant and fishing / hunting opportunities, located in Balmoral Parish. It’s a natural setting teeming with adventure!

Located at proximity of the lake, some of our cottages can accommodate up to 6 people. Each cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen, dining/living room with a hideaway bed plus 2 bedrooms, with 2 single beds and a bathroom with shower. All linens for the beds and bathroom are supplied. One cabin is wheelchair accessible.

Services offered: Our lounge offers hot meals, tea and coffee and is fully licensed. We also have boat rental either by day or 1/2 day. Life jackets are mandatory when boating and are available at the club. In the evening, you can relax near a camp fire.

Directions From Balmoral: Upon arriving at the Esso garage, go south on Drapeau Road, which will lead you to the NBIP Road (gravel road) and follow the directions. Island Lake Club is approximately 50 kms from Balmoral. The Club also accessible by car either from St-Quentin or Bathurst on the Natural Resources road.

In the summer season, you can enjoy fishing on the lakes and its surrounding brooks and streams. For ATV enthusiasts there are numerous trails. You can also enjoy bird watching or/and photography of the diverse wildlife of the Appalachians Mountains range has to offer. We also have a walking trail that goes around our beautiful lake. The fall season brings hunters from all regions. In the winter, during our white gold season, snowmobilers know that we offer a warm and cozy atmosphere.
