For the first time ever, ATV members have an opportunity to travel from the winter trails of VTT 2000 to Val-d’Amour utilizing a newly agreed shared trail between snowmobiles and ATV’s, along snowmobile trail #258 (part of ATV trail #10 in the summer months).
This new addition to the winter trail system is due to an agreement between VTT Restigouche, VTT 2000 and our good friends at the Restigouche Timber Trails Snowmobile Club. The snowmobile club has agreed to allow shared access to trail #258 (ATV’s on the right, snowmobiles on the left), which provides a connection from the groomed trails of Thompson Road and VTT 2000 to Val-d’Amour via the Lac-Des-Lys Road. VTT 2000 rides the new shared trail
On Saturday, March 7th, shortly after the agreement was put in place, a large group of riders from VTT 2000 enjoy the first ride to Val d-Amour along the newly shared trail.
The shared trail is clearly marked with new signage and at the end of the trail, riders can hop on the Lac-Des-Lys Road for a short drive into the community of Val-d’Amour. This agreement opens the ability for many of the VTT Restigouche ATV members to reach the groomed trails of VTT 2000 from both Val-d’Amour and Campbellton (via Thompson Road).
