Summer Events Wrap Up

Oh what a summer riding season we have had. Early on we had lots of snow on the trails, which meant a delay in the opening our riding season. This was followed by torrential rain storms that caused the further closer of trails due to large washouts and dangerous conditions.  We did managed to get some rides in during June but then we had the extreme heat and a terrible fire season that seen our entire forested areas closed to all visitors for weeks.  However, through all that, our regional clubs did manage to host some wonderful summer events.

From July to September, we managed to host a number of different events held by Clubs either jointly or on their own.  Unfortunately, we did not get a lot of photos / video to share with you, but we will work harder next summer to share the fun we have each time we get together.

July:  The VTT / ATV Club Restigouche hosted an observation rally on July 26 that was enjoyed by a large number of members.  On the same day, ATV Club 2000 VTT also held a Bon Ami Rally for its membership to celebrate the Dalhousie Bon Ami Festival.  Many members from outside both clubs also enjoyed the day with their regional friends.

August: Unfortunately, many of the planned rides throughout the region were postponed or cancelled due the fire ban and forest closures that were experienced throughout the province.

September: Finally, we managed to have a good month for riding.  ATV Club 2000 VTT hosted a Charlo Fall Fair rally on September 7. Club VTT Chaleur ATV Club hosted an Observation rally on September 13 followed by VTT/ATV Club Restigouche hosting a Fun Rally on September 20.  The events were attended by members from throughout the region.
